The company was founded in the early 1980s under the name “Il Diamante” by Viola Diamante, a sole proprietorship, and then became UmbriaFrip srl starting from January 2010. Today Umbriafrip is a reference point in central Italy for the collection and sale of used clothing.
Since the early 1980s we have been dealing with the collection of original material from clothing banks, its storage and sale, in close partnership with local authorities.
We collect second-hand clothes in Umbria, Marche, Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna. The used clothing is then distributed throughout Italy and abroad.
We put process effectiveness first. The company operates according to the highest quality standards, in compliance with the regulations in force.
The core business of Umbriafrip is the sale of second-hand clothing to companies in domestic and foreign markets that deal with selection and distribution. Our company, by its nature, is a key element in the second-hand clothing reuse chain.
Umbriafrip works with public bodies for the collection of original material from clothing banks and with the private market for the sale of used clothes by weight. Its services involve the collection, transport, sanitation (where required), storage and distribution of second-hand clothing.
The system for the acquisition of material from clothing banks includes a widespread network of containers used for collecting used clothes, distributed in the towns of the provinces throughout central Italy.
The material is treated in a cutting-edge facility, with strict management procedures. The second-hand clothing is stored before being sold. The clothing is sanitised on request.
The clothing ready for sale is stored in metal baskets and bales. Delivery service with articulated lorries throughout Italy. For the foreign market, transport by ship in containers or trailers.
Umbriafrip has been collaborating with charity organisations for years, that it contributes to. Part of the collected used clothing is distributed to important national organisations, in order to help those in need.

– Croce Rossa Italiana (Italian Red Cross)
– Unione Italiana Ciechi (Italian Union of the Blind)
Since its foundation, Umbriafrip’s aim has been to make a significant contribution to the recycling process of used clothing. An area that has seen growing awareness by the general public, thanks to the efforts of companies like ours. Our mission is to increase the amount of material collected and the quality of the material collected by informing citizens, thus strengthening the distribution chain of second-hand clothes, in terms of clothing volumes and service quality.
